FAQ: electronic Trade Reference (eTR)
Can any company simply submit an eTR?
No. There are a few conditions which must be met and supporting documents are required before an eTR can be submitted. For example, the debt must be more than RM150, AND the outstanding due must be more than 60 days.
A company or organisation must have a legitimate reason to list you under eTR. If you find that you’ve been listed under eTR without a valid reason (or by an unknown trade referee), please contact us at 03-2722 8833 or eTRaudit@ctos.com.my and we’ll be glad to assist you further.
