FAQ: electronic Trade Reference (eTR)
Once an eTR payment has been settled, how long will it take for the information to be removed in CTOS?
The trade referee, which is the company or party that created the eTR listing, is responsible for removing the record. Once the trade referee removes the eTR listing, the information will also be removed from CTOS records immediately.
If you find that the eTR record has not been removed upon settlement of your debt, here are some steps you can take.
- Contact the trade referee directly (the party that listed you under eTR) and inform them of the issue.
- Once the issue has been resolved, your record should be removed within 3 working days.
- If the record has not been removed after 3 working days and you’ve been asked to submit additional information, you can send supporting documents such as a payment slip, settlement letter, etc. to eTRaudit@ctos.com.my. Please note that it could take up to 15 days or more to resolve the issue as CTOS will need to liaise with the trade referee too.
